5.15.1 Antimonium tartaricum
Antimonium tartaricum is quite a strange remedy because on the one hand we have been using it for years because of its very characteristic physical symptoms, and on the other hand we hardly know anything about the mind picture. We know even less about the influence of the tartaricum part because we don’t really know any other tartaricums.
My own experiences with Antimonium tartaricum in the past had been unusual in the sense that it seemed to bring relief to just about every case of chronic bronchitis, but it hardly ever really cured anything at a deeper level.
A proving was conducted but did not bring out many mind symptoms, so that did not help either.
Antimonium tartaricum contains some potassium. Its proper name is Kali Antimonium tartarate, or (KSbOC4H4O6)2H2O. The acid of the tartarate is sometimes called wine-stone acid.

They have got all the characteristics of Antimonium, being easily insulted, angry and feeling left out. They like artistic and special things. One of the dreams during a proving was that they are preaching a sermon and then get stuck half way through (Stage 15).
We also see the themes of the Carbon series: I, values, self-worth and desire for protection from family and friends.
A typical symptom seems to be the amelioration when someone offers their apologies to them. Another characteristic symptom seems to be their desire that people speak plainly, with no hidden meanings or clever games.
