642.16.07 Anamirta cocculus, Cocculus, Case
Woman, 35, Meniere’s.
She is dizzy, nervous, unsure in walking, as if she is walking on waves. Everything turns in her head, she has nausea, ringing in her ears, trembling legs, nodding knees, pressure on her head.
The complaints are worse at the weekend after lack of sleep, from stress, riding in a car, strong wind, before menses, waiting in a shop, motion of her head and looking at moving objects, better after rest, with open eyes and during pregnancies. She cannot stand big wheels, gets nausea in high buildings.
It started after a period of much caring for others. First her father was ill and died. She cared for him and her mother. After a few years her mother remarried to a man who became like a brother to her. He became ill and needed many operations. She was the pillar of the family and did it with love. After that her parents-in-law divorced and she supported her mother-in-law very much. She still remembers that she was criticised for laughing a few days after the death of her father.
In the past she had frequent otitis with sneezing and allergies to cats, dogs and house mites. Once she had hyperventilation and anxiety attacks.
She wants to help people, be ready for them but she cannot anymore. She is too anxious, cannot drive a car or bicycle anymore. She startles very easily.
She cannot stand horror movies and violence. She likes romantic and humorous movies.
She likes to be with people, her family and children.
Fear: diseases, fainting, downward escalators.
