5. d. ACONITUM NAPELLUS
The Aconitum is a large plant that can grow up to.20 m high and grows in
Southern and Central European mountain ranges, particularly in forests, humid meadows and on the
brooks. In the Netherlands it can be found in South Limburg. It is a bumblebee flower
(is pollinated by bumblebees). The Aconitum napellus has a beet shaped
carrot ("Napus" is "turnip"). The whole plant is extremely poisonous, even the
honey.
There is a poisonous species the "Torah aconitum" whose name means "death and
poison". Aconitine is one of those toxins.
C34 H4 7 O. The lethal dose is less than 3 mgr and is the most toxic.
alkaloid. Hahneman discovered that Aconitum homeopatically prepared (i.e. potentised) could cure many diseases that were treated with bloodletting in his time: acute diseases and severe symptoms.
Aconitum should not be prescribed under D4.
Kent wrote: "Aconitum is a short acting remedy, there are no chronic diseases following it. Like a great storm it comes and sweeps over and passes away". In my opinion, there is an "Aconitum type" that has as its weak point the difficulty with situations that require change/adaptation.
