Saponaria officinalis

Saponaria officinalis
Remedy code: 3-663.44.05
A 5-year-old boy with warts, his mother comes in with two children, and they all look picture-perfect, dressed as if from a catalog. The mother turns out to have a children's clothing store. Everything seems to revolve around the family, attention, coziness, and understanding, they do a lot together. He crawls around the office and sits under my desk, everything is very playful. He whispers to his mother. It are horned small warts, they've been there for a year and are getting more numerous. Most are under the left armpit, on the left arm, in the left groin, and on the left leg. He scratches, and sometimes they break open. There is often blood on the sheets. He has had itching all his life, the dermatologist gave him a cream for the eczema spots in the elbow and knee folds, and on the arms. During the vacation, he walked a lot in his swim trunks, and the warts almost disappeared. He is never sick but often has colds and sniffles. As a baby, he had a puffer, his breathing was a bit snoring. He is lovely, very active, just like a little monkey: climbing everywhere. He is easygoing, listens well, and is quick-witted. He is always moving. School goes well. The complaints started last year: they went through a lot of commotion, the house was sold, they are now temporarily living with the grandparents, it’s a bit busy. His growth is regular. He sleeps very well. He doesn’t eat much, likes vegetables, no breakfast. Drinks a lot. The pregnancy and delivery went well. He walked early, always running, and still seemed to walk with one foot turned in.

Analysis
For this analysis, the starting point was a characteristic rubric: ‘general, side left’. This rubric was reviewed to look for possible remedies that were applicable. The situation was clear, the child's world: family, matching Silicon series. The mother works independently, the contact is very open and real, fitting Phase 6. Everything looks natural, and cozy, as if you are looking into a living room full of harmony, the way they interact, and their body language is open and confident, so Phase 4 fits. Saponaria stands out as a good possibility, Eupatorium perfoliatum also fits (based on Phase 4 and virus pointing to the Asterales), but the focus on family, the coziness, and the absence of the theme 'vulnerability (an Asterales theme)', leads to choosing Saponaria. The rubrics that mention 'Saponaria' refer to saponin, the constituent. There is often a large overlap between the plant and its constituents. The family picture: cozy, snug, Silicon series, independent work Gold series, the ability to combine these two well, to relativize ambition, work, and 'the self' in relation to the children, parents: Gold series3.
Phase 5: uncertainty about finding a house, the situation remained uncertain for a long time, the step was taken to sell the house already, but it was not yet clear how it would turn out. More than once, it appears that the 'family box' or the living situation, the living world of the person is an important and characteristic starting point for an analysis, especially in young children. Choosing a characteristic rubric as a starting point and reviewing it for remedies where you recognize something in the complaint or situation, in the theme. Prescription Saponaria officinalis MK.

Follow up
After four weeks: it’s going very well, the warts are almost gone. They are drying up, retracting. In the beginning, it was a bit worse. But it quickly improved, much to the parents' amazement. Sometimes you still see him scratching, but not in those spots. He is very active, and can also puzzle for a long time. Also a bit show-offy, he is indeed just like a little monkey now. And plays very nicely, doing somersaults and bumping into furniture.
The tongue is clean, and dark. Skin scratch test negative.
