Botany
Herb; annual; 50 to 100 cm tall; variable in morphology; fresh character.
Stem: ridged; branching.
Leaves: variable shape; somewhat triangular; hairy.
flowers : solitary; in axils; 2 to 3 centimeters wide; sepals pointed green to reddish; petals lavender.
Fruit: bristly, disc-shaped capsule; 9 to 20 segments, each with 1 seed.
