Franklandia fucifolia
English: Lanoline bush.
Region: south-west of Western Australia.
Habitat: on sand in kwongan, and open woodland.

Botany
Small shrub.
Root: fire-tolerant rootstock, and has no surface covering except for the fruit.
Leaves: alternate; divided into erect, terete lobes with prominent glands.
Inflorescence: terminal, few-flowered raceme.
Flowers: perianth is tubular, four horizontal lobes; stamens are inserted at the top of the tube; ovary is sessile, with one ovule.
Fruit: narrow nut, topped with a rounded-triangular concave plate; 5-6 mm wide; hairy on the outside.
