English: Cape primrose.
Region: central, eastern and southern Africa, Madagascar, Comoro Islands.
Habitat: shaded rocky hillsides or cliffs, in rock crevices.
Use: ornamental, many hybrids of various colours.
Botany: flowers five-petalled, salverform tubes, orchid-like, hover or arch over the plant.
