ANEMON:
According to Greek mythology, the red anemones originate from the blood of the wounded and dying ADONIS, a lover of the goddess Aphrodite, and the white from the tears of the grieving goddess.
Based on these stories, the anemone became a symbol of grief and sorrow. Giving anemones is also seen as a signal that one wants to end the relationship.
