Case: Sanguinaria canadensis

The intake took place in March 995. It concerns a 42 year old man with fatigue and allergic symptoms. Allergy to tree and grass clumps: sneezing, itching in the eyes and nose. Nosebleed after blowing. Sometimes hives in the face. Eczema between the eyebrows and along the moustache.
Food allergy: throat shut by apple, pear, cherry, melon, potato, plums and nuts. Itchy palate and thick lips. Sometimes bronchitis with coughing up green mucus.
Pain in right shoulder, worse letter sorting (by profession postman).
Extremely fatigued. Also hardly any libido.
Very irritable, worse when colleagues or children tease him. "I'm quickly on the closet". Medical history
Jaundice at birth. As a child rubella. Ball-inflammation right. Sterilization.
Seven years ago pain attack kidney region (uric acid crystals). Family
Father: heart and lung complaints, psoriasis, osteo-arthritis, cataracts and prostate complaints.
Mother: osteoa-rthritis, headache
Temperature
Warm (2). Sweating during exercise. Loves the sun. Desires/aversions:
Desires: stew, pea soup, Greek food, Chinese, meat, sweet, cheese, sausage, gravy. Aversion: turnip, pointed cabbage, broad beans, fish.
Thirst: low-normal. "Coffee is an addiction.
Faeces: mush, acid smell, sometimes undigested remains.
Sleep
Sleeps well in and through. Sleeping position: back or right side. Snores. No night sweats.
Person
Postman for 25 years. Married, two daughters.
Active in the Apostolic Society: brother of reception. "The practice of charity".
Always helps others. Difficult to say no. Want to give others a pleasant life. "I let myself be supported a lot. I am a good boy.
Second child from a family with 4 children. Always helps parents, but father does not give recognition or appreciation.
Fiery, then sorry again. Forgotten and forgiven. Sometimes hellish, e.g. Once at work a box of mail has been thrown over.
First prescription: Potassium sulphuricum MK. First two weeks a lot of energy, then flu with coughing up green mucus. Very tired, with a banging headache on the right side.
Second prescription (5 weeks after intake): Sanguinaria MK. Much more energy on this. Libido came back, less irritable. Allergic symptoms reduced. Last dose taken in spring 1997.
