Piper fragile
Region: Southeast Asia, Indonesia, the Philippines, New Guinea.
Botany: evergreen, scrambling shrub that creeps over the ground or climbs into nearby plants for support; habitat on rocks near the sea, in thickets, and in forests at low elevations; dioecious, both male and female forms need to be grown if fruit and seed are required; bitter, fragile bark.
