Introduction
Pterostemonaceae is a Family in Saxifragales. In the Apg2 classification it was treated as a separate famnily. In the Apg3 classification it is included in Grossulariaceae.
Plant theory
In the Plant theory 2 it is placed tentatively in Subphase 7. It is included in Peridiscaceae, together with Iteaceae and Cynomoriaceae.
