Name: Ephedra vulgaris.
Culture: the Mormons of Utah eschewed tea and coffee (as evil in some way) and traditionally only drink Mormon Tea which is the local native Ephedra.
They are a radical and conservative religious group that actively prosyletize.
One of their other anomalies is belief in group marriage.
