665.54.07 Buddleja davidii, Case
Woman, 50, sleepless.
She cannot fall asleep and wakes frequently since her menopause. She has flushes of heat, going from her head downward, especially on waking.
She has terrible abdominal pains in the night. The pains are burning and contracting and better from pressure, bending forward and warmth. Her abdomen is full of gas and she has to vomit frequently.
In the past she has purpura haemorrhagica which was treated with blood transfusions. After the birth of her first son she got Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. Later she started using Thyrax for her hypothyreoidy. She once had a paralysis of her face for a week.
She works as a pediatric and homeopathic doctor and has worked in poor neighborhoods. She liked to work together with people, with friends. She wants to help people, show them a better life. She stopped when she got too little help from others. She felt not taken seriously, not seen in her work. She felt that she had failed. She thinks a lot about life and how rich people have everything and do nothing and poor people cannot do anything. She can only be happy when other are happy. She always feels protected like by a guardian angel.
She always wants to work, do something. She has a low self-conscious, feels not worthy for the title of doctor. She feels not good enough, as a doctor and as a homeopath. She had to prove that homeopathy works, that it could heal better and faster.
As a child she felt neglected. Her mother only gave attention when she had good scores at school.

Follow up
She gets a severe influenza for a day after she takes the Buddleja davidii 200K, with fever, shivering and herpes on her lips. She has thoughts about dead and that she would die. Then she gets a dream about big, wild, galloping horses. The next day her influenza and fever are gone and she feels light, good and peaceful.
She gets her symptoms back for a while, one after another: her abdominal pains, an old arthritis of her wrist.
After 2 months she feels quieter, more sure with people, can sing and laugh again, makes more contact and has pleasure in work. Her quality of life went from 30 to 55.
