644.57.01 Krameria lappacea, Case
Woman, 30, epilepsy.
She has had epilepsy, rising from her stomach to her head. With it she has vertigo, nausea, unconsciousness, loss of urine, biting tongue, blue face, hissing in her left ear, panic, fear of losing control. Her vision is disturbed, she sees black, farther or more distant, unreal as in movie, fragmented. She feels as if she is not in her own body, the world feels strange, as if there is cellophane around her. After an attack she is panting. Her mother put her under pressure to stop the attacks when they would come on.
She has constipation, > eating; haemorrhoids; pain anus, cutting, stitching, as from a stick, < stool.
She has pain in her xyphoid bone, her stomach. She has bulimia.
As a child she was often sick with bronchitis and pneumonia, a painful cough > steam inhalation.
She once had diarrhoea, nausea at 5 am, with cramp in her lower abdomen as if from knives.
She has vertigo, a feeling of going away, with panic.
She is anxious, careful, prudent. As a child she easily felt shame as if she had done something wrong, walking with head and shoulders bent forward.
She is perfectionistic, putting herself under too much pressure. As a child she did obsessive acts.
Her mother is warm but hysterical, over-caring, hypochondriacal. Her youth was overprotective, sickly narrow and confined. It gave her an unsafe feeling. She does not trust the world, as if she is not allowed to have her own space, as if she lives on borrowed time and will not become old. Her parents quarrelled a lot, producing a cold atmosphere at home.
She is friendly, supporting the underdog; but she is reserved, distant.
Fear: falling; heights, spaces, crowds, warehouse, people, the cosmos, her body, the unknown; nausea, accidents, dark.
Dream: falling, gliding from a steep quay, never reaching the water, floating.
Colour preference: 10B5.
Weather: chilly, cold hands and feet; < storm.
Sweat: night, < coffee.
Time: < 3-5 am.
Desire: sweets, vegetables.
Aversion: milk, meat.
Food: < coffee, it gives sweatiness, nausea, feeling chased.
Analysis
Carbon series: parents quarrelled; mother overprotective; does not trust the world; has an aversion to sex.
Silicon series: not much contact with husband.
Iron series: perfectionistic, putting herself under pressure.
Phase 5: sickly narrow; overprotective; hysterical.
Subphase 7: epilepsy; shame, as if done something wrong.
Ratanhia: epilepsy; haemorrhoids; pain anus, cutting, stitching, as from a stick, < stool.
DD: Cannabis indica; Nux moschata; Cuprum; Indigo; Cicuta; Agaricus; Opium.
Follow up
After Ratanhia MK she is more open, has better contact with her surroundings, instead of retiring as in the past. She felt she was coming to earth, touching the ground with her legs. The constipation and abdominal symptoms were aggravated for a week and then lessened. In the course of one and a half years she developed herself enormously, went in psychotherapy with her husband and developed a better marriage. At the end she developed and eruption on her arms and legs for a few months.
