644.34.05 Mercurialis perennis, Case
Woman, 35, herpes zoster.
She has itching pimples and vesicles above her eye, pain in her eye and ear, her eyes feel sealed, as if full of sand. With it she has headache and swollen cervical lymph glands. It was in a period when she was very busy, working hard. She doubted if she could cope with her work. She starts things with enthusiasm but after a short while starts doubting herself, thinking that she is not good enough. That touches her deeply, bringing doubt, grief and sadness. Then she gets a contracting feeling in her umbilicus, a tightening, but also a feeling that she will not let herself be put down.
This also happens also in relationships. Her last friend ended the relationship because she became too independent, doing courses in self-development.
Her father died the year before from a sudden heart attack. Shortly after that she had a period of muscle and joint pains.
At a young age her parents divorced because her mother was lesbian. She and a brother stayed with their father but it was a sad period. In puberty her father married again. She was happy for her father but felt the emotional pressure from her stepmother and her father to accept her as her new mother. A few years later she had to leave home and was sent to an aunt. Inside she felt empty but on the outside she kept going on. She developed an ambivalent attitude towards her father. On the one hand he had cared for them well but on the other hand he had sent them away from home.
She regularly has conflicts with her mother who criticises her readily. She feels that she is not doing things well enough, fears she will be rejected.
