422.13.06 Lycopodium clavatum, Case
Man, 50, palpitations.
He has palpitations in attacks where his heart beats very fast. They are worse inatthe weekend and come from tensions at his work. Reorganisation took place and many employees feel their position has changed in a way they don’t like and are resisting. He gets angry when he is falsely accused in this process. He always wants to do the best for everyone. He encourages everyone to study as much as they can. The tensions are worse because he has an inferiority complex.
He comes from a very simple family in the countryside. He has good contact with his parents but a bit superficial. They are old fashioned. His siblings are quite different and talk a lot about each other. But he doesn’t participate in this. They were jealous of him because he was studying and did very well in society.
He has eczema on his right ear and deafness in his left ear. Urination is more difficult in the last few years, especially in the night.
Dream: he is sitting at an examination at school; he has to play the organ but forgot his music.
Weather: -> summer, -> winter, <- too hot or too cold.
Desire: sweets !, vegetables, fruit.
Aversion: sour.
Analysis
We see here the main image of Lycopodium: a little boy who has to go into the world and find a way of surviving on his own.
He comes from a simple family and goes into the big world of study and government.
Follow up
One month after Lycopodium clavatum MK he feels very good. He had only one attack of palpitations shortly after remedy. Urination is going almost normal, except at night still not completely well. His deafness has lessened and his eczema disappeared. He is more cheerful more positive and life. He has had enough problems at work. Before he had the tendency to take them on personally and become depressed but now he can look at it more from a distance.
The remedy is repeated a few times. He comes back more than a year later with eczema on his arms and hands and legs, little, painless pimples that come and go. In general he feels good. He had only one attack of palpitations the last year after a period of working hard for a week.
Lycopodium is repeated and he does well after that.
