666.43.06 Cichorium intybus, Case
Boy, 5, fevers.
He is frequently ill with high fever of 40°C and red cheeks. This happens when he returns from his father. The parents were separating when the mother got pregnant. His mother arranged everything alone with no help from his father. She did not want an abortion but felt very alone. She thinks she should have been more careful and not allowed the pregnancy to happen.
Generally he is quite bossy: he wants to have things his own way. He is quite dictatorial, his mother has to do as he wants. He is angry when his mother leaves and a nurse takes care of him, screaming with a high pitched voice. He is very attached to his mother and cannot allow her to leave.
He is very sensitive to all kinds of things, like the things around him.
He easily gets coryza, < alone. He has a fear of being alone and is weepy then. He wakes at 1 am, weeping and having difficulties in contact with the father. He does not want to speak about it to his mother.
He cannot stand when others pick up one of his things, then he lies on the ground screaming.
He likes babies and animals very much; he is very caring for them.
He has stomach pains with sour belching, worse from herbal tea.
He was very sleepy for 2-3 days after the vaccinations, “almost like he was in a coma”.
He has a sour diarrhoea.
Birth was quite good at home without problems. He was breast fed for four months, until his mother had breast inflammation with high fever and the milk stopped.
Weather: likes to be outside.
Desire: fruit juice, meat, cucumber and fruit; thirsty.
Aversion: potatoes, warm food like cooked, boiled vegetables.
Analysis
Lanthanides: his own way; sensitive; < vaccinations.
Carbon series: < alone.
Asteraceae: high fever.
Stage 6: dictatorial; bossy.
Cichorium: bossy.
DD: Rheum; Magnesiums: divorced parents, desire raw vegetable, fruit and meat, aversion cooked vegetables.
Follow up
After Cichorium intybus MK he had no more fevers. He became happier and cheerful.
He received the remedy six times since the original prescription.
Previously prescribed remedies like Leptandra, Calcium muriaticum and Cuprum muriaticum had no effect.
